The biotech industry is maturing and the number of companies is increasing. Over 350 products are in late stages of the trials. This means that these 350 products might make it to the shelves soon. Many of these drugs look promising for treating some of the unmet needs in the medical world.
Another reason to invest in biotech stock is that the drug industry has always and always will be the most successful industry in the world. Pharmaceutical sales are growing.
It is also very hard to produce a generic form of a biotech drug because they are created out of biological resources. This not only increases the lifespan of the drug, but it also increases the value of the drug.
